STATS OF NEVADA COUNTY OF CLARK Dick Lochrie, being first duly sworn, deposes and says: That he is Foreman of the Las Vegas Evening Review-Journal, a daily newspaper of general circulation, printed and published at Las Vegas, in the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the attached was contin­uously published in said newspaper for a period of Two weeks, from March 8th, 1938 to March 15th, 1938 inclusive, being the issues of said newspaper for the following dates, to-wit: March 8th-15th. That said Newspaper was regularly issued and circulated on each of the dates above named. Signed Dick Lochrie Subscribed and sworn to before me this 15th day of March, 1938. ORDINANCE NO.232 An ordinance to amend Section IV of Ordinance No. 137 of the City of Las Vegas entitled: "An ordinance creating the office of City Electrical Inspector, and prescribing his duties, creating and establishing the bureau of electrical inspection and defining the duties and powers of said bureau, providing for the issuance of permits for installing electrical construction, and fixing the fees therefore; regulating the installation of electrical construction, maintenance and repairs of electrical wiring, apparatus or equipment for light, heat, power, within, upon or attached to buildings, structures, lots or premises within the City of Las Vegas; and providing a penalty for the violation of this ordinance." As amended. The Board of City Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, do ordain as follows: Section 1. Section IV of Ordinance No. 137 of the City of Las Vegas, as amended; is hereby amended to read as follows: Section IV (a) A permit shall be required to fo any electrical construction of any character install any electrical wiring, apparatus or equipment of fixtures or make any extensions or changes to existing wiring, systems for light heat, or power, within upon, or attached to any building, structure, lot or premises except the repairing or replacing of switches or sockets in any existing system of wiring or the repairing or replacing of switches or sockets, or installing extensions of less than ten feet to any existing wiring system in a dwelling. A permit mast be secured before commencing the installation of electrical construction and the failure to do so shall be deemed prima facie evidence of violation of the provisions of this ordinance. (b) Fees according to the following schedule, shall be charged and paid to the City Clerk, before any permit shall be issued, namely: (1) Where the number of outlets (at which current is to be used and/or controlled) is five or less $1.00 Between 6 and 10 inclusive 1.50 " 11 " 20 " 2.00 " 21 " 30 " 2.50 " 31 " 50 " 3.00 for each outlet in excess of fifty (50) at the rate of five (0.05) cents each. In addition to the foregoing: (2) Where lighting fixtures are installed and the number of lighting fixtures is Five or less $1.00 Between 6 and 10 inclusive 1.50 " 11 " 20 " 2.00 " 21" 30 " 2.50 " 31 " 50 " 3.00 For each lighting fixtures in excess of fifty (50) at the rate of (0.05) cents each. (3) For each inspection made necessary by reason of defective workmanship or materials $1.00 (4) or the inspection of an electrical construction, equipment, or installation for which no fee is herein prescribed, there shall be charged a fee per hour or fraction thereof of $1.00 (5) For each motor not exceeding five (5) horsepower $1.00 (6) For each motor more than (5) horsepower and not exceeding ten (10) horse power $2.00 (7) For each motor exceeding ten (10) horsepower $4.00. (8) Neon or gas tube type signs, $2.00 per each transformer. Incandesent lamp signs, $2.00 per sign and $1.00 per each additional circuit. Not more than ten lamp outlets or more than 1000 watts on each circuit. (9( Ceiling fans (each) $.25
