It was the Paris of Toulouse-Lautrec & the Belle Epoch where everything was beautiful, the fashion was beautiful, the champagne, life itself was beautiful, & the women.. .ahh the women! 1920?╟╓S SPEECH In a few short years, from 1900 to the 1920?╟╓s, the female image went thru some radical changes. Tired of not having the right to vote & feeling like a second class citizen women suffrage took a strong stand. Fashion always reflecting the attitudes of the times decided that the body should no longer be imprisoned in a confining corset & layers of clothing. FLAPPERS Flappers like these personified the roaring 20?╟╓s, but these changing times also produced a whole other type of woman. They were predatory, & mysterious. They were known as Vamps 1940?╟╓ SPEECH 6/6/2005
