Statements “A" and “B" attached show the estimated cost of reproduction new and cost of reproduction, less depreciation, of the water facilities owned by the respective companies and used in supplying water service to the public, as of December 31 > 19^9* as requested by your A II-2. Explanatory text also attached answers your question A II-l as to the methods used in determining such costs. Statement BA H also answers your query in the second paragraph of C-I, indicating a reserve requirement (accrued depreciation) for present cost of reproduction as of December 31, 19^9, to be $119,798.00. This compares with $230,812.97 in balance sheet account 251, which was reported to the Public Service Commission as of December 3 1 , 19*1-9.
