Las Vegas - January 3, 1952 W 6-4-26 Mr, L, A. White - Omaha This refers to your BD-1-18 dated December 31, 1951, regarding uncollected room rent accounts. An investigation of the accounts In question reveals the following: Rooa So. 4 - occupied by Albert Grant, Mr. Grant checked Into the rooming house May 25, 1951, and signed deduction order for room rent. Later we were advised by the timekeeping bureau at Loe Angeles that Mr. Grant had no earnings to protect charges. In the meantime Mr. Grant vacated the room, taking all personal belongings. We have been unable to collect amount due. I recommend the amount be written off* Rooa No. 8 - Occupied by Mr, Swope. Mr. Swope was taken out of service and although he had signed usual deduction, we were not advised by Superintendent Smith until June 19th that he had no earnings to cover the deduction. As Swope did not occupy the rooa during June and as Timekeeping Bureau advises he has not returned to service, I recommend the amount be written off. Rooa No, 44 - L. H. Brown - #80.00 Mr. Brown who had been taken out of service, moved out of the rooming house May 31, 1951, without settling his account. I am advised by Supterintendent Smith that Mr. Brown may be reinstated in the near future and we have requested that collection be made upon return to service, . W. H* Johnson
