Sexton, Chairman Public service Commission Careon City, Nevada bear Mr. Sexton* You may recall In the last public hearing held In Las Vegas during August 1941, on the subject Adequate water service in the City of Las Vegas* etc., a suggestion was offered that a connection be made between the mains of the Las Vegas Land and Water Company and the Boulder Syndicate, so that an.adequate supply would be available in case of fire In the Boulder Addition. {Commission*s Case No. 1123, pages 23 - 3a) This suggestion was probably prompted by a rather serious fire that destroyed several units of an Auto Court in that sub­division because, it was said, there was not sufficient water for the fire laddies to fight it. The water system in the Boulder Addition received some criticism at that time from the public and the press, and probably unjustly, Inasmuch as paps did not serve water to this court, which had its own well.
