On Line - Las Vegas, Oct. 9, 1940. WMJ GPA - Omaha J-197. I have looked into matter of recommended redwood pipe replacement in South Addition and believe this work should be done now as constant line trouble is causing much repair expense which will be eliminated by replacement, and is also developing considerable ill feeling with customers. Estimate, however, will have to be revised. Will take care of this and forward early next week. While PSC are pressing WRB to install 6-inch line in Block 7, Pioneer Heights, I am not satisfied that possibilities of having this installation financed by residents have been exhausted. Will develop this further with WRB and advise, but in meantime, as this Jine was not included in Taylor’s list of immediate requirements but was shown in yellow, on map as a future possible requirement, it should be covered as a separate item. WRB agrees with me that above-mentioned work in South Addition is all that is necessary to be done this year of Taylor’s recommended work. We will therefore prepare detailed estimates covering remainder for inclusion in 1941 budget as instructed in your letter of October 4th. R-20. WR ?
