Ordinance No 30259 Sheet 4 Section 2. That Section || Ordinance numbered 30206 of the t ity of Kansas City, Kansas, passed and approved November 1. 193S, is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 13. That the t.ity of Kansas City, Kansas, sha'l. and said City hereby covenants and agrees that it will maintain in good repair and working condition the Public I*evee of said City and will operate the same in an efficient manner and at reasonable cost so long as any Public J.evee Terminal Revenue Bonds of said City remain outstanding, provided, however, that nothing herein or in this Ordinance contained shall be construed as imposing on said City any obligation to levy any taxes to pay the principal of or interest on said Revenue Bonds. So long as any of said j Revenue Bonds remain outstanding, said City will as an operating cost of the Public Levee maintain adequate insurance on the insurable parts of the Public Levee against the hazards of fire, lightning, tornado and explosion, and. in the event of loss or damage, will use the proceeds of such insurance in replacing and reconstructing such of the facilities as may have been damaged or. destroyed, if such replacement and reconstruction is deemed by the governing body of the t tty to be reasonably necessary. If replacement and reconstruction is not deemed reasonably necessary by the governing body of the City, then the proceeds of such insurance recovered shall be deposited in the Public Levee Terminal Revenue Bond Fund and used for the purpose specified in < Section 10 of this Ordinance.’' Section 3. That original Sections 7 and 13 of said Ordinance Numbered 30206 of the City of Kansas City. Kansas, are hereby cancelled, annulled, rescinded and repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage, approval and publication in The Kansas City Kansan, the official Citv paper. . .
