Some step should, of course, be taken to safeguard the water supply to the town as well as the Railroad Compmy. Mr*. Maguire is undoubtedly fully acquainted with the situation which now exists, so far as the physical condition of the pipe line is concerned, and I would like very much to have a definite report with recommendation as to what action should now be taken*.
