% Mr. Frank Strong Page #2 October 4, 1944 recommendation indicates the installation of these lines will equalize the pressure and make it possible to deliver water to consumers at higher pressures* With regard to conclusion shown on last page their report, I concur in all of them but the first one: I do not agree that we have sufficient production ability to meet requirements, and in fact their report indicates during some days of the past summer consumption exceeded production. This as you know was due to the fact we cannot depend on Wells #5 and #6 because of occasional belches of sand, I have written you recommending additional sources of supply be developed, possibly by perforating Well #4. With my letter August 15th I sent you detailed estimate for each of the three projects recommended, by the Engineers. The only change in those estimates will be in estimate (b) covering the extension on Olark Street; this should be reduced by 750 feet of 13” C. I. pipe and a similar amount of labor representing the line .between Thirteenth and Fifteenth Streets eliminated under their revised recommendation.
