QUITCLAIM DEED Commissioner Fountain moved the following Resolution of Acceptance be adopted for Charleston Quitclaim Deed to the City of Las Vegas from Charleston Heights; Inc. for the north Heights; Inc. one-half (N½) of Alta Drive 40' right-of-way from west line of Charleston Heights Tract #7 to the east line of the Red Rock Baptist Church: Resolution of Acceptance RESOLUTION OF ACCEPTANCE OF QUITCLAIM DEED Adopted On motion of Commissioner E. W. Fountain; duly seconded by Commissioner William H. Elwell; and carried unanimously; the following Resolution is adopted; and order made: BE IT RESOLVED; this 7th day of October, 1959; by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas; County of Clark; State of Nevada; that the deed; dated the 16th day of September, 1959, executed by Charleston Heights; Inc.; of Las Vegas; a Nevada Corporation to the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark; State of Nevada; and that the real property described therein be, and is hereby accepted; for the purposes of street; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED; that a copy of this Resolution be attached to said deed; and that the same be recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of the County of Clark, State of Nevada; and this resolution be filed in the records of this Board. NOTICE OF CLAIM Commissioner Elwell moved the claim of Connie Mormon doing business as Las Vegas Children's Nursery in the amount of $52,000 for loss of business and legal fee as Connie Mormon a result of show cause hearing regarding her child nursery licenses be denied. Denied Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell; Fountain; Whipple and His Honor Mayor Gragson voting aye; noeS; none. Absent: Commissioner Sharp. NOTICE OF CLAIM Commissioner Elwell moved the claim of Connie Mormon in the amount of $50,000 for mental grief and resulting physical injury and injury to her good name as a Connie Mormon result of show cause hearing regarding her child nursery licenses be denied. Denied Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell; Fountain; Whipple and His Honor Mayor Gragson voting aye; noeS; none. Absent: Commissioner Sharp. NOTICE OF CLAIM Commissioner Fountain moved the claim of Edna B. Johnson in the amount of $200 for personal injury which occurred on September 9, 1959, at 513 Carson; when she Edna B. Johnson tripped and fell over an irregularity in the sidewalk be denied. Denied Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell; Fountain; Whipple and His Honor Mayor Gragson voting aye; noeS; none. Absent: Commissioner Sharp.
