Jim ID 9 os AH'5<1 June 8, 1954 Mr. R. L. Adamson Onion Pacific Railroad Company k22 West Sixth Street Los Angeles. California Dear Mr. Adamson: Reference is made to your letter of June 7> 195^ regarding the perforation of wells Nos. 12 and 13 in the Union Pacific Railroad Company water field at Las Vegas, Nevada. Your letter is in accordance with our telephone conversations with Mr. Hugh Shamberger, State Engineer at Nevada, in which he requested that perforating be confined initially to the Zone below 500 feet in depth. Mr. Shamberger felt that if good production could be obtained from below the 500 foot level less interference would be felt in other wells in the vicinity. If the desired production is not realized then the question of perforating at a lesser depth can be taken up with Mr. Shamberger's office. The estimated additional cost is reasonable and meets with my approval. I am recommending that the Las Vegas Valley Water District include the additional cost as a part of the purchase price. Very truly yours, James M. Montgomery jm :rw cc: Mr. CCJ Mr. CCJ Mr. Thomas A. Campbell, w/encl. ^ Harry E. Miller, w/encl. William C. Renshaw, w/encl.
