    274 Commissioners Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Baskin. ORDINANCE NO. 360 At this time Ordinance No. 360 establishing a Regional Planning Commission 2nd Reading was read to the Board for a second time. Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved that the foregoing ordinance be adopted on its second reading. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Baskin. ORDINANCE NO. 361 At this time Ordinance No. 361 relative to the annexation of the school 1st Reading district in Sunrise Acres referred to a committee composed of Commissioner Clark and Whipple on July 22, 1948 was reported on favorably and thereafter read to the Board for the first time. Thereafter Commissioner Clark moved that the foregoing ordinance be approved on its first reading. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Baskin. ORDINANCE NO. 362 The committee on Ordinance No. 362 amending certain portions of Ordinance No. 349, composed of Commissioners Clark and Moore asked for additional time to study said ordinance before reporting on same. ORDINANCE NO. 359 An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS REGULATING THE Redraft referred APPEARANCE OF MINORS ON THE PUBLIC STREETS, AVENUES, ALLEYS AND OTHER PUBLIC to committee PLACES WITHIN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS; PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE PROVISIONS HEREOF REPEALING ORDINANCES NO. 9 and 21, AND ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATING THERETO, was read to the Board by title and referred to a committee composed of Commissioners Clark and Moore for report at the next regular meeting. WEATHER BUREAU — Commissioner Clark moved that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign Supplemental Agree- the supplemental agreement between the City of Las Vegas and the Weather ment Executed Bureau for space at McCarran Field. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Baskin. GAMING APPLICATION At this time the following gaming applications for the third quarter of 1948 3rd Quarter were presented to the Board for their consideration. Gordon W. Potter Nell & Larry's Cafe 727 S. 5th 2 slots J. Kell Houssels Las Vegas Club 23 Fremont 8 slots Reed Wittwer Harold's Drive In 700 No. Main 1 slot L.P. Lawrence Oppedyk Fountain Lunch 1000 N. Main 2 slots Danny & Ronny's Quality Meats 209 N. 3rd 2 slots V.H. Dillehunt Dairy Bar 1525 Fremont 1 slot Thereafter Commissioner Clark moved that the foregoing applications be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Baskin. LIQUOR APPLICATION Commissioner Clark moved that the application of R. C. Brodine, Jr. for a retail restaurant beverage license at the Red & White Cafe, 801 South 1st Street be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote; Commissioners Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Baskin. CITY ATTORNEY OPINION At this time Mayor Cragin read the following opinion to the Board. Re: L.W. Gibbs Proposal $350,000 Sewage disposal Bond Issue August 6, 1948 Honorable Mayor E. Cragin and Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Las Vegas, Nevada In re: PROPOSAL OF LAWREN W. GIBBS DATED JUNE 30, 1948 COVERING THE $350,000.00 SEWER DISPOSAL PLANT BOND ISSUE AND THE CITY'S CONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE
