368 BUENA VISTA-Final Map Mr. Harold Shidler former instigator of Dewhurst Lawn Tract appeared before the Board and approved-Formerly introduced Mr. Royce J. Peterson who is now the owner and has changed the name to Buena Dewhurst Lawn Vista Tract. His Honor read the letter of recommendation dated March 30, 1949 from the Planning Commission relative to the approval of the final map. Thereafter Commissioner Baskin moved that the final map of Buena Vista be approved subject to the conditions set forth by the Planning Commission and that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign the agreement when presented. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. THE WESTERNER At this time Ryland Taylor and V. Gray Gubler, Esq. representing Catherine and John Horden, Liquor & Gaming The Westerner, 23 Fremont who have made application for a retail tavern liquor license and gaming licenses for the second quarter of 1949 appeared before the Board on behalf of their clients. After considerable discussion Commissioner Clark moved that these applications be held in abeyance until discussion can be had on the question of gaming and liquor licenses now being issued that are not in use. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. RESUBDIVISION - Mr. Kelly Howard appeared before the Board on behalf of his proposal for the re subdivision Noblitt & Church Addition of Noblitt & Church Additions in order that the streets in those additions will meet the proper alignment. His Honor read a letter of recommendation from the Planning Commission dated March 30, 1949. Thereafter Commissioner Moore moved that the Board be in favor of this resubdivision. Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. AMENDMENT TO LAND USE His Honor read a letter of recommendation from the Planning Commission dated March 30, 1949 ORDINANCE #378 relative to the amendment to Ordinance No. 378 so that the depth of lots having a 6,000 sq. ft. area will be excluded. Since a notice that a public hearing will be held on this amendment on April 18, 1949 at 3:00 P.M. has been published, this letter was ordered filed. SERVICE & MATERIAL WARRANT Commissioner Clark moved that Service & Material Warrant No. 1773.19 in the total amount of $141.47 to Transcontinental & Western Inc. for refund on rent paid to the City for December of 1948, be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none.
