AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR NURSERIES AND CHILD CARE FACILITIES WITHIN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. WHEREAS, The Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, did on the 6th day of August, 1952, adopt Ordinance No. 503 entitled: "AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR THE REGULATION AND LICENSING OF CHILD CARE FACILITIES; AND PERSONS AND ORGANIZATIONS PROVIDING CARE FOR CHILDREN, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH"; and WHEREAS, Under the provisions of Section 2 of said Ordinance No. 503, the Child Welfare Board of the City of Las Vegas was to provide rules, regulations, and standards for the administration of child care facili­ties and recommend the same for adoption by the Board of Commissioners; and WHEREAS, the said rules and regulations were filed with the City Clerk on the 4th day of March, 1953. WHEREAS, notice of said filing was made in the manner provided in the Charter of the City of Las Vegas, NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF CITY COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That a certain document, three (3) copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Las Vegas, being marked and designated as "Regulations for Nurseries and Child Care Facilities within the City of Las Vegas, Nevada," prepared by the Child Welfare Board of the City of Las Vegas be and the same are hereby adopted for the regulation of nurseries and child care facilities within the City and are hereby referred to, and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this ordinance. SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its passage and adoption as provided in Chapter 11, Section 30 of the Charter of the City of Las Vegas. APPROVED: s/________C. D. Said Code is on file as aforesaid for use and examination by the public.
