All menu items are trans-fat free, the first national quick-service chain to accomplish this, which is one of the reasons the deli is so popular. The deli is also introducing organic foods on its menu. Hand-in-glove with the holistic environment that Molasky Corporate Center offers is 24 Hour Fitness USA, Inc., which will occupy 15,000 square feet of space on the ground level. People who use alternative means of transportation, like bicycles, will have access to showers and lockers at 24 Hour Fitness. Hopefully, fitness mem-bers will workout before the start of their business day or after business hours thus avoiding rush-hour traf-fic, limiting commute time and reduc-ing any congestion in and out of the building during prime time. The ground level will also have Legal Copy Cats, a copy service center in 833 square feet of space, Bank of Nevada will operate a bank and ATM within 1600 square feet of space, and Java Detour will serve up its delicious coffees and specialty drinks within 818 square feet. ?continued from page 1 be devoted to amenities that serve the tenants and those who visit and work nearby at Holsom Lofts, Las Vegas Premium Outlets, World Market Cen-ter, Lou Ruvo Brain Institute as well as those who live at the new high-rise condos that now flourish along the downtown skyline. But when it's all said and done, the most important asset at Molasky Corporate Center will be the people who work at the building each and every day. "We have a group of the most knowledgeable, well-known and highly regarded attorneys in the state," says Bill Curran, managing partner of the prestigious law firm Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP, which signed a 10-year lease for 12,166 square feet of gross rentable space on the 17th floor of the build-ing. Founded in 1886, Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP is one of the 100 largest law firms in the coun-try. "We want to provide them with the finest work environment that Las Vegas can offer and Molasky Corpo-rate Center fits the bill," says Curran. "Our staff deserves a work environ-ment that meets a higher standard for comfort, health, productivity and energy efficiency. It's not only a smart business practice for our people, it's good for the whole community." "This building will offer the cleanest and healthiest working envi-ronment in Las Vegas," says Suzanne Sanders, vice president of design and construction for the Molasky Group of Companies. "All interior finish materials such as adhesives and sealants, paints, car-pet products have no Volatile Organ-ic Compounds (VOCs), which react to light to create contaminants and pollutants," explains Suzanne. Instead of the traditional over-head duct system, Molasky Corpo-rate Center is installing an Under Floor Air Distribution (UFAD) sys-tem that uses the open space (under floor plenum) between the structural concrete slab and the underside of a raised access floor system to deliver conditioned air di-rectly to the work zone. A comfort zone provides in-dividual control to air flow and forces any VOCs up and out of breathing level. Coupled with the fact that this is a no smoking facility, it will have a very clean and healthy environment, which will be beneficial to everyone who works and visits here. "The tenants really have to 'buy' into the GREEN pro-cess," says Suzanne as building a Green building goes beyond construction?it includes the long-term maintenance and operation the building in a sus-tainable manner. "This means, the tenants need to use Energy Star appliances, recycle materi-als and use non-toxic cleaning and maintenance products." Another firm which has bought into the "LEED" lifestyle is Brown-stein Hyatt Farber Schreck. The Den-ver- based law firm which recently merged with Schreck Brignone has leased the entire 16th floor consist-ing of approximately 27,162 of gross leasable square feet of space. The Molasky Group of Compa-nies will be moving from its Mary-land Parkway headquarters to the 17th floor of the building. Known as the "eagles nest," the 13,700 square foot offices offer spectacular views of the Valley, spanning from the North Las Vegas airport to Main Street Sta-tion in downtown Las Vegas. These companies will join anchor office tenant, Southern Nevada Water Authority, which will have offices on seven floors of the building. Detention Center Authorized Clark County Commission has autho-rized staff to move forward with an agreement with The Molasky Group of Companies to design and build a one-thousand bed facility to ease over-crowding at the current Clark County Detention Center. Under the proposed terms, Mo-lasky Group will provide funding, construction and design services and lease the facility back to Clark County under a long-term lease agreement. When it opened in 2002, the South Tower of the Clark County Detention Center nearly doubled the overcrowd-ed jail's capacity. The jail was designed to hold about 2,860 inmates, but the usual population has grown to more than 3,700 and shows no signs of slowing down. Hundreds of inmates are bused to other jails, sleep on cots and linger for days in cramped holding cells waiting for an open bunk. Jackie Crawford, who heads the government services division of Molas-ky Group says, "The County has been concerned about this issue for a long time and felt that short-term solutions would not solve the problem. This is a perfect example of how public-private partnerships can work to quickly solve problems that would otherwise take years." Brad Sher, Christina Natale, Sheila Kirk and Kobi Weston celebrate the Trendset-ter Award. Award Winning The Molasky Group of Companies was honored with the NAIOP Trend-setter Award at the annual Spotlight Award ceremony held March 24 at the Red Rock Resort ballroom. Gov-ernor Jim Gibbons presided over the black tie affair.
