I P Regarding fu rn ish in g o f water by the R ailroad Company to CGC camp at Logandale about which you talk ed to me a t Mesquite la s t week, w i l l say th at I have a l e t t e r from our General Manager in which he p oin ts out th at however much th e R ailroad Company would lik e to make con trib u tion o f water in your p a rtic u la r case, i t is im possible to do so. In the f i r s t p la c e , such con trib u tion would be i l l e g a l ; and in the second p la c e , the R ailroad Company, over i t s ten thousand m iles o f r a ilr o a d , serves hundreds o f communities, and i f i t made a donation in one case i t would have t o do so in a l l oth er cases o r be charged w ith d iscrim in a tio n . Furthermore, the R ailroad Company has Just entered in to an agreement w ith the fe d e r a l government coverin g the fu rn ish in g o f w ater to th is p a r tic u la r camp fo r a period beginning October 1, 1937 and ex­tendin g to Fun© 30, 1938, so apparently the govern­ment is going to fin an ce i t s own water supply f o r th is camp and your community w i l l not be burdened w ith th at extra expense. with best regards and wishing you and yours a l l good th in gs o f th is happy season, I a®, Very tr u ly yours Leo A.
