I agree.\a/M. ' iCT 31 ft REPORT FROM L. R. MAAS 10/29/52 Mr. Maag met James M. Montgomery today and discussed the meeting held by L. V. Valley Water District yesterday. The meeting is reported in an article in the Las Vegas SUM dated October 29, 1952. Mr. Maag's discussion with Mr. Montgomery is off the record. The newspaper article mentioned that Mr. Allen of the P.U.G. intimated that he may order UPRR Co. to supply additional water next summer; reporters were unable to pin Mr. Allen down to any definite statement. Mr. Allen said he will require weekly production tests of the wells next summer. Mr. Montgomery stated that water storage is adequate for next summer and pumping facilities (at the reservoirs) are adequate, but water production should be increased 5 MOD. The article in the Las Vegas SUN mentions a figure of #50,©00 as the cost of new pumps, etc. to give the required increase. This cost to be borne by the District. Mr. Montgomery did not give the figure to the reporters but it was apparently given by someone else who attended the meeting.
