Original estimate #4.50 for contract work covered drilling only, i'he contract was let on basis first 300 ft. at #9.33 per, next 200 ft. at #9.50 per and remaining 300 ft. at #10.60 per including casing and shoes; also when solid rock encountered #4. per hour exclusive of casing in lieu of foot unit price. Original estimate averages #6.58 per ft. compared with contract cost about 10.35 for 570 ft. to date. Shis reduces apparent disparity. V Maguire estimates will need about #1200. additional to continue drilling to depth of 700 ft. If approved will await results before submitting supplemental as if project is a success will be necessary to secure additional appropriation for piping as Indicated by APB* B**?37. W. H. Gomstock
