Robert Testolin & James Fare Commissioner Whipple moved the application of Alfred Ripps, Mike's Liquor Store, 106 Fremont, for renewal of his cigarette license, general business license, retail package miniature liquor license and 11 slot machines and two additional slot machines for the second quarter of 1955 be approved subject to the following condition: These licenses are issued to and pursuant to the order of the Court in the Writ of Preliminary Injunction and is issued under protest thereof. The licenses will be revoked promptly upon the dissolving of said injunction. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. At this time the Board considered the application of Gus D. and Helen Corey for a cabaret liquor license at the Hickory Wood Bar-B-Q, 315-317 Fremont Street to replace a Restaurant Beverage license that is presently issued these applicants. Thereafter Commissioner Bunker moved the application of Gus D. and Helen Corey for a cabaret liquor license at the Hickory Wood Bar-B-Q be denied. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Sharp moved the application of John H. Walker and Seth R. Dole for a Retail Beverage license at Your Family Market, 1109 Stewart Avenue, formerly issued to Joseph Vranesh for the fourth quarter of 1954, be approved for the remainder of 1955. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Jarrett moved the application of Earl Turman for change of name of his tavern from the Chicadee Club to the Town Tavern, 1314 F Street, be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Sharp moved the request of Sam W. Collins, A. S. Johnson and Starr and Edna Thompson for deletion of the former partners M. H. and Sallie Gordon on the retail liquor and miniature license issued to Sallie's Liquor Store and Beer Bar, 2120 E. Charleston Boul­evard, be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. At this time the applications for renewal of gaming licenses for the second quarter of 1955 were presented to the Board for consideration.
