Increase in later Bates: lias Vegas - August 23rd, 1924, W 23-6 Mr. f* H. Knickerbocker, General Manager, Los Angeles, California. Dear Sir: Bn closed is copy of notice which the Public Service Commission got up and sent us for nailing here in Las Vegas, with stamped envelopes, etc. You will note that, disregarding the law which they said they could get around, we were enabled to get this notice out under a time of 15 days instead of 30 days. Connolly and I left here last Priday evening about 4:30, drove to Carson City and returned Sunday. I had a very favorable interview with the Public Service Commission and feel sure are mighty well paid for our efforts. Phey are in sympathy with us in every movement and will do everything in their power to legally have our new rate in effect as soon as possi ble. Mailing all notices this date and looking forward to many a battle tomorrow with the different owners and users of cooling plants, but Connolly, Folger and I are all prepared far the big fight. Yours truly. I 4 L ® B. BEACEB5, Vice-President* P*S: Would rather you would not say anything to Leo about our trip, as he felt it would be useless and not within our power to have the time limit . cut down as we have. I.B.B. ce - Mr, E. B. Bennett.
