Lae Vegas - May 21, 1943 W 23-4-7 Mr. Bracken: Referring to Mr. Bryan1s letter May 17th, regarding confiscation of additional water lines by the Government in Grandview Addition. I do not understand that the Government took over the pipe lines In this instance, as their plan indicates a new water system will he installed without regard to the present 4-inch lines of the Grandview Company. However the map indicates the following footages are involved: Block 4 300 Feet Block 9 300 « 12th Street 300 • Tee Blk 3 to 12th St. 9502 v Total 1850 ? « It would appear then that the Grandview Company has the following line still intact and available to service houses: Blocks 1, 2 & 3 1370 Feet To Meter 80 * To Stewart St. 320 * Total 1770 * I have not considered the line on Oak Street because 1 do not know whether the Government used it or not. In any event, it appears to me that it would cost more in labor to take this line up than its value as salvage. A. M. FOLG&l
