lof said railroad operating facilities for the purpose of avoiding 2interruption of the operation of trains, engines and cars over said 3 tracks or danger to persons and property, and provided further that 4no tools, implements or other materials shall at any time be placed gupon said railroad tracks or so near thereto as to endanger trains, gengines and cars or persons thereon operating upon said tracks. Ex- 7cept in case of emergency the District, its successors and assigns, gshall not perform or cause to be performed any work upon said ease-gmsnt strips in the vicinity of said railroad tracks and appurtenant ^facilities until after 2I4 hours’ notice to Grantors, their success lisors and assigns, and in the case of emergency, immediate notice of 12 such work shall be given to the agents or employees of the Grant- 13 ors, their successors and assigns, who can be found nearest to the 14Point of work.
