Box 584 Edmonton, Canada September 12, 1962 THE MICHABu NORTH AGENCY 188 N* Canon Drive Beverly Hills, California Dear Sirs: The six Member Exhibitions of this Association, comprising the TtAn Circuit in Western Canada, will select their 1963 Grandstand Attrac- tions at meetings to be held in the Bismarck Hotel, Chicago, 111*, commencing 12:00 Noon, Saturday, November 24, 1962* The Association invites presentations from all interested Agencies and in extending it at this time, it feels that the entire Exhibition seasonis available to provide agents with adequate time to thorough- ly investigate various ideas, to completely explore public tastes and needs, and to produce some novel and ingenious ideas for con- sideration by the Member Exhibitions, The Association would like to impress upon all interested Agencies that they may exercise complete freedom; in deciding the type of show they wish to present and the manner of presentation, and that they should not hesitate to make suggestions and recommendations to increase patronage and revenue in the cities where the show will be staged* The Association also asks all agencies to keep in mind the financial limit- ations of some of the Members, which means that flexibility in the offerings is a prime requisite. As a guide, the average cost of a "package?ǥ show during the past five or six years was approximately $17,000*1 however, in the case of three dr four of the Members, this amount was supplemented by additional attractions and expenditures, in some instances, up to $15,000* and more. This invitation is being extended to a selected group of Agencies. The Association requests that those intending to make submissions advise it as early as convenient of their intentions and then arrange to be available with their material at the start of the meetings, as above, at which time further procedure will be made known* Very truly yours, (signed) L* P.
