Corkhill, being first duly sworn, deposes and says: That he is a citizen of the United States, over the age of eighteen years; that he is the publisher of the Clark County Review, a weekly newspaper of general circulation printed and published at Las Vegas, Clark County Nevada, and that the Ordinance No. 40 of the City of Las Vegas of which the attached is a true and correct copy, was published in said paper one issue, on the following dates, to-wit: May 10th, 1913. Harmon, City Clerk. @@ @@@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@ Ordinance No. 41. @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ An Ordinance of the City of Las Vegas amending section 19 of Ordinance No. 36 of the City of Las Vegas, entitled "An ordinance providing for the issuing of plumbing and Sewer Connection Permits, for the inspection of plumbing and sewer Connections and for the regulation and construction of plumbing work in the City of Las Vegas." The Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, do ordain as follows: Section 1. That section 19 of Ordinance No. 36 of the City of Las Vegas, entitled "An Ordinance Providing for the issuance of Plumbing and sewer connection permits, for the inspection of plumbing and sewer connections and for the Regulation and Construction of plumbing work in the City of Las Vegas," be and the same is hereby amended so that the same shall read as follows: Section 19. The office of the plumbing inspector snail be, and the same is hereby created, The Plumbing Inspector shall be appointed by an order of the Board of City Commissioners duly entered on the minutes of said Board, and shall hold office during the pleasure of the Board. He must qualify within ten days from the time of his appointment by taking the constitutional oath of office and filing of a bond in the sum of one thousand dollars and filing the same with the City Clerk. All fees collected by the plumbing Inspector shall be the property of the City of Las Vegas and shall be turned over to the City by said plumbing Inspector monthly, rendering a detailed statement and report thereof. The Plumbing Inspector shall be entitled to receive and shall be paid monthly an amount equal to the fees collected hereunder during such month, and such amount shall be full compensation for all services rendered. Section 2. It appearing to and being found by the Board that the health and welfare of said City requires the immediate passage of this ordinance as an emergency ordinance, and that such emergency exists, the game is hereby passed as an emergency ordinance upon the consent of the entire Board, to take effect upon its passage and publication for one week (one issue) in the Clark County Review, a weekly newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas. Section 3. All ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed I hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance was read for the first time and passed as
