    Commissioner Peccole moved that action on the applications of Edward H. Blake, Sunset Liquor Store, 1027 South Main, Retail Liquor (Mina.) license and C. M. and Ellen Travis, Travis Liquor Store, 416 North 5th, Retail Liquor (mina.) license be deferred until letters from the original owners relinquishing their interest in the businesses are furnished. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote! Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. LIQUOR APPLICATIONS Commissioner Peccole moved the application of Edward H. Blake, 2nd Street Lunch, 117 South New 2nd Street for a Restaurant Beverage license for 1951 be approved subject to favorable police investigation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. PAWNSHOP APPLICATION Commissioner Whipple moved the application of Louis Mack, Mack Jewelry, 26 Fremont for re- Renewal newal of his pawnbrokers license be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. TAXI APPLICATION Commissioner Peccole moved the application of Yellow Cab Co., 111 South Main for one addi­tional taxi license for the fourth quarter of 1950 be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. CIGARETTE LICENSE Commissioner Whipple moved the application of Charles M. Travis, Travis Liquor Store, 416 North 5th Street for license for the Retail Sale of Cigarettes and Tobacco Products for 1951 be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. CLAIM FOR DAMAGES Commissioner Whipple moved in consideration of the investigation of the insurance company and A. J. Schankel their findings and upon the advise of the City Attorney the claim of A. J. Schankel for a1- leged damages caused to his home 231 North 15th because of the stoppage of the sewer line, be denied. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. There being no further business to come before the meeting at this time Commissioner Peccole moved this meeting adjourn. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. ATTEST: APPROVED: City Clerk Mayor ************** Las Vegas, Nevada January 3, 1951 A regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners held this 3rd day of January, 1951 was called to order at the hour of 3:45 P.M. by His Honor Mayor E. W. Cragin with the following members present: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Whipple; City Attorney Howard W. Cannon, City Manager C. W. Shelley and City Clerk Shirley Ballinger. Absent: Commissioner Peccole. SOLICITORS LICENSE At this time Mr. John McNamee appeared before the Board representing the Fuller FEE - Request for Brush Company, requesting that the solicitors license fee be reducted from the Reduction $75.00 per quarter minimum to $5.00 per quarter. Discussion was held and Mr. McNamee was requested to appear at the next meeting with affidavits and testimony to show why this fee should be reduced. MINUTES Commissioner Moore moved the Minutes of December 20 and 27, 1950 be approved by reference and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Peccole. SERVICE & MATERIAL Commissioner Moore moved that Service and Material Warrants Nos. 2039 and 2040 in WARRANTS the total amount of $90,037.71 be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Peccole. ORDINANCE NO. 449 - An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, PROHIBITING Leashing of Dogs DOGS FROM BEING OR RUNNING AT LARGE WITHIN SAID CITY EXCEPT ON LEASH, was reported on favorably by Commissioners Moore and Whipple and thereafter read in full to the Board. Commissioner Moore moved the above entitled Ordinance No. 449 be adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Peccole.
