OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK, CITY OF LAS VEGAS, CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA. JANUARY 20th, 1937. Minutes of a recessed regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, held on the 20th day of January 1937 at the hour of seven o'clock P.M. Roll call showed the following present Commissioners Down, Krause, Marble and Perry, Mayor Arnett, City Attorney and City Clerk. Also being present F.C.DeVinney ex-officio assessor. This being the day heretofore set by the Board as the time when objections would be heard upon and the Board would review the Special Assessment Role for "Las Vegas 1937 Improvement district No. 3" assessments, it having convened at 9 A.M. and remained in session from that time for the remainder of the day until 5 o'clock P.M. and the assessor being present and available all of the said time for that purpose, and have again at seven P.M. convened for that purpose with the assessor, and no objections having been made or suggestions offered it was on motion of Commissioner Down, seconded by Commissioner Krause ordered: IT IS ORDERED that the special assessment roll identified as Special Assessment Roll for "Las Vegas 1937 Improvement District No. 3" be, and the same hereby is approved and confirmed and the assessments therein contained and enumerated are hereby adopted. Vote on the aboveorder was Commissioners Down, Krause, Marble and Perry and His Honor the Mayor. Noes, none. On motion of Commissioner Krause seconded by Commissioner Perry it was moved and carried that the following slot machine licenses for the first quarter year be granted: J.T. Watters 5, Vegas Sweet Shoppe 1, Frank Kernan 2, E.D.Ciliax 2, Peter Pansey 2, E.P. Bihlmaier 12. Vote was Commissioners Krause, Marble and Perry and Mayor Pro Tem Down voting aye. Noes, none. Mayor Arnett being excused before the vote was called On motion of Commissioner Krause seconded by Commissioner Perry it was moved and carried that the following beverage licenses for the year 1937 be granted: E.D.Ciliax, E.P. Bihlmaier, M.S. Pinjuv and the Modern Food Shop. Vote was Commissioners Krause, Marble, and Perry and Mayor Pro Tem Voting aye. Noes, none. No further business appearing before the Board at this time the meeting recessed and adjourned until Monday the 25th lay of January, 1937 at the hour of seven o'clock P.M. A special meeting of the Board of City Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas is hereby called to be held in the Board Room of the Board of Commissioners Saturday the 23rd day of January, 1937 at the hour of ten fifteen o'clock A.M. on said day to consider and act upon the follow ng business: 1. To meet with Wright L. Felt, acting State Director of the W.P.A. in regard to the Las Vegas Street Improvement District No. 3. Dated this 23rd day of January, 1937. L.L. Arnett Mayor of the City of Las Vegas. NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING TO-- L.L. Arnett, Mayor and to Jas. H. Down, Herbert Krause, H.P. Marble and H.L.
