There is a difference in elevation between our reservoir and the tract of 43 feet which, theoretically would create an 18 lb static head in the tract, less friction loss? and the offsetting with­drawal would not be appreciable during winter months. During the balance of the year, we have to operate one booster at the Clark Street reservoir anyway, to compensate for laok of water through the Charleston main until the pressure valve opens. This one booster pump at the Old Reservoir will create about 20 lbs at the reservoir, or approximately what we hoped to achieve by Installing special pumping equipment for Bonanza Village only.
