After investigation at Las Vegas, in conference with Superintendent Folger of the Water Co., and the McNeil Housing Co., the following appears to he a fair estimate of the addi­tional demand to be made upon the Water Co. for residential developments during the summer of 1942: McNeil Housing Co. 500 houses approved by F.H.A. 80 " now under contract. Will build in units of about SO as purchasers are in sight. Anti­cipated by fall - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 240 Biltmore Subdivision (on land recently acquired from LVL&W Co.) 100 now under contract. Will build additional as demand occurs and F.H.A. approval se­cured. Could expand to 400. Probable this year - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 200 Grandview - Probable this year - - - - - - - - 125 For Manganese employes (est.) - - - - - - - - - 100 Miscellaneous - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 275 940 The above provides for a total of 940 houses to be completed by the end of September, and when it is considered that the McNeil Construction Co. holds a contract with Basic Magnesium for the immediate construction of S10 houses on the Magnesium Go. property in the vicinity of Royson (which houses will be furnished with chlorinated water from the Magnesium Co.'s Lake Mead pipe line) it provides for a total of 1,750 (1 )
