80 Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. PAYROLL CLAIMS Commissioner Clark moved that Payroll Claims Nos. 1152 and 1159 and 1166 to 1169 inclusive, in the net sum of $21,906.23 be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Corradetti and carried by the following vote: Commissioner Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. SERVICE & MATERIAL Commissioner Clark moved that Service & Material Warrants Nos. 1151 to WARRANTS 1174 inclusive in the sum of $31,443.12 be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. SUB-DIVISION Commissioner Clark moved that the tentative map of the El Rancho Verde El Rancho Verde sub-division be approved and authorized the Mayor and City Clerk a Tentative Map to sign the vinal map when it has been approved by the Planning Com- mission and City Engineers. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. LEASE Commissioner Clark moved that the City grant the renewal of the lease United States with the United States Weather Bureau conditioned upon and subject to all Weather Bureau the rights of the Government of the United States for the United States Airport now being contemplated and in the course of negotiations in connection with the McCarran Air Field. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. RESOLUTION The following resolution was presented to the Board. RESOLUTION - No. 5 RESOLVED that the sincere thanks of the Colorado Water Users Association is hereby expressed to the Hotel El Rancho Vegas for the meeting room kindly furnished to the Association. ALSO the Last Frontier Hotel and the host City of Las Vegas and the Colorado River Commission of Nevada and to the radio stations and the Press for the many courtesies and help in arranging and conducting this convention. The resolution was ordered filed. KALTENBORN CASE Commissioner Clark moved that the City Attorney be directed to dismiss the case in District Court now pending against Mr. Kaltenborn as the requirements of the City have been complied with. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. STREETS & HIGHWAYS Commissioner Clark moved that Acting City Manager Treem be directed to Biltmore Addition secure bids for seal coating streets in Biltmore Addition Nos. 1 & 2. Nos. 1 & 2 Said bids to be opened at 2 P.M. May 26. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. PLUMBING DEPT. Commissioner Baskin moved that the Plumbing Board be requested to recommend a passing grade for persons taking the examination required by the Plumbing Code, and to submit their recommendations to this Board for their approval. Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. CITY CLERK BOND Commissioner Clark moved that the bond of the City Clerk be raised to $25,000.00 effective immediately. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. CITY CLERK Commissioner Clark moved that C. C. Sargent and Bert Boyd be transferred Transfer of from the Comptroller's Department to the City Clerk's Department as of this Personnel date. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none.
