I agree.8/20/72 LIDO AUDITIONS DRAW WORLD'S BEAUTIES LAS VEGAS?╟÷Watching several hundred of the most beautiful women in the world parade in front of them may be the dream of millions of red-blooded men, but when two men in particular have to send away most of the awaiting lovelies, their job is a difficult one indeed. Director Donn Arden and Producer Frank Sennes have been doing just that during marathon audition sessions for the all- new 10th edition of the spectacular Lido de Paris, set to debut at the Stardust Hotel, Dec. 28. When the call went out that they were hiring dancers, nude showgirls and singers, Arden, Sennes and Madame Bluebell, whose name is proudly worn by all Lido dancers, were besieged with personal visits, phone calls and telegrams from beauties around the globe seeking the prestigious positions available. All received the same reply: show up in the Stardust Cafe Continental in rehearsal clothes, and you will be given a chance. There is probably no young female dancer or singer today who wouldn't cherish the opportunity to be a Lido Girl or a Bluebell Dancer. The titles evoke more pride in girls today than did those of Zeigfeld Girl or Rockette of yesteryear. ?╟≤24
