L°a Angeles Calif* Dear Mr Maguire When I finished the work at Los Vegas Nevada,Fob 15th 1918, you rather expeoted to do some work at Milford Utah^and thinking I might man whose first name was John,though I do n o t know his last name* Heedless to say it was with the full oonsent of John. Tjlls John was then,and had been them. When I oame back from Las Vegas,I took oharge of the construction work of one of the shipyards,and for a year was too busy to think of tools. When I finished at the shipyard,I wrote to Mr Heaton,asking him would he kindly look ip these tools and write me if they were still there,if so,i would arrange to have them shipped to Los Angeles.He did not answer my letter. After a few months I again wrote him,and again he did not answer. Of course they were not in any way left in his charge,but he was my only means of getting word regarding them without going to the expense of a trip to Las Vegas • I am writing you to ask you if you have any means of getting me information in regard to these tools,if you can do so,i would certainly be under obligations to you,as their valaie at present would be in the neighborhood of |100* The complete list is as follows .^ 6 picks and handlos,3 large dize iron wheelbarrows,l hand force pump, 13 shovels,1 hoe,l broom,1 tarpaulin^ pr rubber boots,2 buckets,125 ft A" repo,2 p inch bars,50ft 3/4" hose 40ft A* hos©| 8 hammers,1 hand ax,l pr tin snips,2 orescent wrenches, 1 Stillson wrench.l monkey wrench,1 plastoring trowel,2 pointing trowels, 1 box of sash rollers, 1 set blocks and falls,3 rolls of sash cord,2 iron chains,2 pr rubber gloves, 1 paint brush, 1 hand saw,l iron soocp shovel, 1 miners pick,and some lumber which X do not want*[f X would certainly appreciate it Mr Maguire if you can find out for me what became of this bunch of tools. for some years in the employ of Mr Heaton it he Las Vegas Agent of your road.
