    44 MINUTES Commissioner Clark moved that the minutes of Feb. 21st & March 14, 22, and 24 be approved by reference and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. PAYROLL CLAIMS Commissioner Clark moved that Payroll Claims Nos. 1108, 1115 to 1124 inc. in the net sum of $24,597.01 be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following bote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. SERVICE & MATERIAL Commissioner Clark moved that Service & Material Warrants Nos. 1126 to WARRANTS 1129 inclusive in the sum of $26,677.74 be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark , Corradetti ana His Honor voting aye; noes, none. AGREEMENT-Housing Commissioner Clark moved that that certain agreement between the City of Authority in the Las Vegas and the Housing Authority in the County of Clark, Nevada, agents County of Clark for the Federal Public Housing Authority, covering the charge for the collection of both garbage and rubbish at the Kelso Turner Tract and Kelso Turner Terrace Addition be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. AMERICAN LEGION Commissioner Clark moved that the City of Las Vegas is ready and willing QUARTERS to enter into an agreement for the purchase of the American Legion quarters Purchase by City in the War Memorial Building for a sum of $15,000.00. Five Thousand dollars which is to be paid upon the signing of the agreement and the balance to be paid when the quarters are vacated. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to sign said agreement when approved by the Attorney. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. RALPH O'NEILL-- Commissioner Clark moved that the payment to Ralph O'Neill of $9,750.00 Claim as per the agreement between the City of Las Vegas and Ralph O'Neill be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. LIGHT BULB BIDS Commissioner Clark moved that the bis of Luce & Goodfellow, who submitted the Awarded to Luce lowest local bid for light bulbs for use by the City of Las Vegas for the & Goodfellow year 1947, be accepted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. ORDINANCE NO. An ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE DETERMINATION OF THE 328 BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS TO MAKE CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS BY INSTALLING COMPLETE STREET LIGHTING UNITS WITH PARKWAY CABLE AND STEEL STANDARDS ALONG CERTAIN STREETS AND PORTIONS OF STREETS IN SAID CITY: PROVIDING THAT THE COST AND EXPENSE THEREOF SHALL BE PAID ENTIRELY BY SPECIAL ASSESSMENT UPON ALL THE LOTS INCLUDED WITHIN THE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT HEREBY ESTABLISHED ACCORDING TO FRONTAGE, EXCEPT WHERE, BY THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, CERTAIN PORTIONS THEREOF ARE REQUIRED TO BE PAID FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS; AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO," was read to the Board for a second time. Thereafter Commissioner Baskin moved that the foregoing ordinance be adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. ORDINANCE NO. This being the time set for the recommendation of the committee composed 330 of Commissioners Clark and Corradetti to report on Ordinance No. 330; Health Ordinance and said committee reports that the proposed ordinance is being held for further study. PROPOSED ORDINANCE An ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A PUBLIC POUND, PRESCRIBING NO. 331 POWERS AND DUTIES OF A POUND MASTER; FIXING THE FEES AND CHARGES TO BE Public Pound COLLECTED BY HIM AND DIRECTING THE DISTRIBUTION THEREOF; PROVIDING FOR THE REGISTRATION OF DOGS AND DOG KENNELS AND FIXING THE FEES THEREFORE: PROVIDING FOR THE VACCINATION OF DOGS AND CATS: PROVIDING FOR THE REDEMPTION, SALE OR OTHER DISPOSITION OF DOGS, AND OTHER ANIMALS EMPOUNDED: PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE PROVISIONS THEREOF: REPEALING ORDINANCES NOS. 5, 12, 19, 51, 58, 63 and 101 AND ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS IN CONFLICT THEREWITH AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATING THERETO," was read to the Board by title and referred to Commissioners Baskin and Clark for recommendation at the next regular meeting of the Board to be held on April 22, 1947.
