YEAS NAYS. Commissioner Baskin None Commissioner Clark Commissioner Moore ABSENT Commissioner Whipple Mayor E. W. Cragin None The presiding officer thereupon declared said motion carried and said Resolution adopted. COMMISSIONERS OF HOUSING At this time Mayor Cragin appointed the following Commissioners AUTHORITY APPOINTED of the Housing Authority: Paul D. McDermott 1 year term Thomas B. Hanley 2 year term Berkeley L. Bunker 3 year term H. E. Hazard 4 year term A. C. Grant 4 year term AGREEMENT— Standby Commissioner Whipple moved that the City of Las Vegas inform electric Service the Union Pacific Railroad Company, in reply to their letter Contract Audit of May 21, 1947, that it is the City's intention to renew #A-54016 Contract Audit #A-54016 dated October 1, 1942, covering standby electric service to the City Police Department and Fire alarm devices, which expries on August 29, 1947. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye. Noes, none. BID—#47.23 Bids from the following firms were opened at this time for SC-1 Road Oil the purchase of ITEM #1 - SC-1 Road Oil to be delivered freight allowed to the Lou Cox siding in the City of Las Vegas, Nevada. Material to be furnished in convenient car load lots as needed and requested, and delivered at a minimum tem­perature of 225°. Certified copy of test must accompany billing for each car. 40,000 gallons ITEM #2. SC-1 Road Oil to be furnished and applied to various streets within the City of Las Vegas in convenient car load lots as needed and requested and delivered at a min­imum temperature of 225°. Applications of all oil to be subject to the approval of the City Engineer and the Director of Public Works. Certified copy of test must accompany billing. 40,000 gallons BID OF ITEM #1 ITEM #2 Richfield Oil Company $12.00 per ton No bid. plus freight @ $6.40 per ton Lou Cox $.09 per gallon $.10 per gallon $3,600.00 total $4,000.00 total Thereafter, Commissioner Clark moved that the bids be referred to the City Manager for recommendation at the next regular meeting. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the follow­ing vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye. Noes, none. BOARD MEETING DATE SET Commissioner Clark moved that the 7th and 22nd days of each month be established as the regular meeting days of the Board; provided, they fall on a regular working day, if not, said meetings will be held on the preceding day. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye. Noes, none. ORDINANCE NO. 331 An ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A PUBLIC Public Pound - POUND: PRESCRIBING THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE POUNDMASTER: Adopted FIXING THE FEES AND CHARGES TO EE COLLECTED BY HIM, AND DIRECTING THE DISPOSITION THEREOF: PROVIDING FOR THE REGIS- TRATION OF DOGS AND DOG KENNELS AND FIXING THE FEES THERE­FOR: PROVIDING THE VACCINATION OF DOGS AND CATS: PROVIDING FOR THE REDEMPTION, SALE OR OTHER DISPOSITION OF DOGS AND
