REKWICK* X don’t think the witness should be required to answer the questions ©f a company for whleh he is not authorised to speak. Ml. ALLARD: As General Manager ©f the utility which Is supposed to supply an adequate supply of water to residents of this community, the witness should know what should be done to provide such an adequate service. 1 think he should answer the question. A. It seems te me that one of two things should be done, (hie is either to obtain additional water from the underground storage basin or to conserve our present supply by amending the State Meter law. MB. CAWWOWt Q« Would It also aid the situation if additional storage facilities were provided so that during the low use period the pumps could replenish those systems? A. In my humble opinion, no. Q. Why do you say that? Q. Because if we consider that in order to get adequate surface storage for two days, it would require at least 35 million gallons capacity. I think the present method of operation under which we utilise the subterranean channelling as a vast reservoir is better than surface storage. Q* Then your answer to my question was based on the fact that you think that underground storage is better than surface storage. A. X do.
