The announcement was made today by Richard G. Banner, general manager and Harry Goodheart, casino manager. Speer was formerly associated with the Desert Inn and Tropicana Hotels both in the capacity of General Manager. He has had extensive experience in casino management in Las Vegas totaling 31 years. He is a golf enthusiast and has been associated with golf tournaments and events with various hotels over the years. Speer and his wife, Nila, reside in Las Vegas. They have raised three children ~- all of whom are graduates of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Shown congratulating Speer on his new position are Richard G.
