    ORDINANCE NO. 765 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION IV OF ORDINANCE NO. 378, REFERRED TO AS SECTION 10, CHAPTER 2U, OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE, 1949, BY AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN MAP ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, AND CHANGING THE ZONING DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN AREAS OF THE SAID MAP. THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1, The Land Use Plan Map adopted by Section IV of Ordinance No. 378, also referred to as Section 10, Chapter 24, Code of the City of Las Vegas, 19U9, is hereby amended to read as follows: (a) From R-2 to R-4: (z-1-58) 1. Lot 20, Block 1, Van Patten Tract No. 1. (b) From R-4 to C-2: (Z-10-57) 1. Unnumbered portion of Block 8, Amended Mayfair Tract No. 2. SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. The City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas shall cause this ordinance to be published once a week for two successive weeks immediately following its first reading and adoption in a daily newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas, Nevada. BAKER, MAYOR The above and foregoing ordinance was first proposed and read by title to the Board of Commissioners on the 16th day of April 1958, and referred to the following committee composed of Commissioner Bunker and Fountain for recommendation; thereafter the said committee reported favorable on said ordinance on the 7th day of May 1958, which was a regular meeting held on said day the proposed ordinance was read in full to the Board of Commissioners as first introduced and adopted by the following vote: Voting "AYE": Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and Mayor Baker Voting "NAY": None Absent: None ATTEST: APPROVED: SHIRLEY LODWICK, City Clerk C.D. BAKER, Mayor ORDINANCE NO. 766 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 16, CODE OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, 19U9, AS AMENDED, DEALING WITH THE SALE OF INTOXICATING LIQUORS BY PROHIBITING THE TRANSFER OF TAVERN LICENSES FROM CERTAIN AREAS OF THE CITY; PROVIDING TAVERN LICENSES MUST BE PUT TO ACTUAL USE; PROVIDING QUALIFICATIONS OF LICENSEES; PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Hereafter no tavern license issued to a place of business on Fremont Street between Main and Second Street, shall be transferred to any location other than a place of business located within the above described area. SECTION 2. Any tavern license not put to active use within thirty (30) days after its issuance, or which is not put to actual use for a period of thirty (30) days, shall be subject to revocation, provided, however, the holder of an existing license may apply to the Board of Commissioners for an additional period of thirty (30) days. The intent of this section is that tavern licenses shall be put into actual operation and will be revoked in the event not used within the time prescribed.
