Los Angeles, December 6, 19^2> Mr. Adamson: Mr. Polger advised by 'phone subsequent to issuance of State permit that State Water Engineer Harry Jameson at Las Vegas had approved a variation in location of water well on Ranch at Las Vegas of approximately 3° or 4-0 ft. from location as contained in State Permit #12460, dated Sept. 29, 1 9 W . You will recall that on our trip to Las Vegas on September 22nd, we visited site of well in company with Messrs. Folger and Barber, and were unable to find stake set by State Engineer, and that we1 set a stake approximately 30 ft. south and east of a location which Mr. Polger indicated as being the location set by State Engineer. The principal reason for selecting this location was in order that drilling operations could be conducted without interfering with trees and buildings located in the immediate vicinity. Well is now being drilled at location of stake set on Sept. 22nd. L, R. Maag
