Las Vegas, Nevada September 7, 1950 A regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners held this 7th day of September, 1950 was called to order at the hour of 3:25 P.M. by His Honor Mayor E.W. Cragin with the following members present: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple; City Manager C.W. Shelley, City Attorney Howard W. Cannon and City Clerk Shirley Ballinger. PAYROLL WARRANTS Commissioner Moore moved that Payroll Warrants Nos. 1147 to 1149 inclusive in the net sum of $24,634.60 be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the fol­lowing vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. SERVICE & MATERIAL Commissioner Whipple moved that Service & Material Warrants Nos. WARRANTS 1994 to 2001 inclusive in the total amount of $34>903.27 be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the fol­lowing vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. You and each of you will please take notice that pursuant to a call this day issued by Mayor Cragin, a Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, will be held in the Council Chambers at the City Hall, 5th & Stewart, on the 31st day of August 1950, at the hour at 4:00 P.M. to consider the following matters: 1. Set Public Hearing Date on Rezoning - Govt. Lot 2 Sec 2, T 21 S., R 61 E. s/ Shirley Ballinger .....City Clerk ACCEPTANCE OF NOTICE We, the undersigned Mayor, Commissioners, City Manager and City Attorney of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, do hereby admit due service of the foregoing Notice of Special Meetings: s/ E.W. Cragin s/ Robert T. Moore_________ s/ Reed Whipple s/ Wendell Bunker__________ s/ William Peccole ________ s/ C.W. Shelley s/ Howard W. Cannon A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners held this 31st day of August, 1950 was called to order at the hour of 4:10 P.M. by His Honor Mayor R.W. Cragin with the following members present: Commissioners Bunker,. Moore, Peccole, Whipple; City Attorney Howard W. Cannon, City Manager C.W. Shelley and City Clerk Shirley Ballinger. REZONING - Public His Honor read the report of the Regional Planning Commission under date Hearing of August 23, 1950 concerning the petition of amendment to the Land Date Set Use Plan changing the zone in Government Lot 2, Section 2, T. 21 S., R 61 E., from R-l to R-4, and the said petition submitted to the Planning Commission by the owner of the property, Mr. D.G. Lorenzi. His Honor also read a Notice of Appeal of the denial of the foregoing petition filed with the City Clerk August 30, 1950 by D.G. Lorenzi and O.H. Nelson. Thereafter Commissioner Moore moved that the public hearing on this matter be set for September 19, 1950 at the hour of 8:00 P.M. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. There being no further business to come before this special meeting, the meeting adjourned.
