Robert Hahn was born on December 19, 1926 in Windsor, Colorado. Robert married Sally E. on April 15, 1950 and they had two children: Karl Robert and Kris Edward.
Hahn was enlisted in the United States Navy Reserve from 1945-1956.
Hahn obtained a bachelor of arts in mathematics from the University of Colorado in 1950.
Hahn began working as a department manager for Edgerton, Germeshausen, and Grier (EG&G) in 1957, eventually retiring in 1992.
