"In June 1981 General Gregory transferred to Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., as commander of the U.S. Air Force Tactical Fighter Weapons Center. While there, he converted the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Team, the Thunderbirds, to F-16s."
