Elaine (Bricker) Galatz is an equestrian, Jewish community leader, and retired teacher and law office manager in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born September 1, 1939 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and studied English at the University of Wisconsin. In 1961 she married Neil Galatz and moved to Arizona. After attending the University of Arizona and Arizona State University for graduate studies and her teaching certificate, Elaine Galatz moved to Las Vegas and taught at J.E. Manch Elementary. When her husband opened his own law firm in the mid-1960s, she served as the office manager and bookkeeper. In 1981, Galatz actualized her lifelong passion for horses and founded Vegas Valley Morgans Horse Farms to breed and train Morgan horses. She has won numerous national and world horse show championships and is a Trustee of the American Morgan Horse Institute and a former member of the Executive Committee for the Grand National and World Champion Morgan Horse Show. Galatz is also an active member of the Jewish community in Las Vegas and from 1995 to 1997 she served as president of the Las Vegas Combined Jewish Appeal/Jewish Federation of Las Vegas.
