Robert Joseph Curran was born on August 31, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri. Robert married Mary Ward on September 1, 1969 and they had three children: Kathlees (1970-06-29), Elizabeth (1973-08-26), and Patricia (1977-02-14).
Curran obtained a bachelor of arts degree in history and political science from the University of Missouri in 1956. Curran then obtained a juris doctor degree from the University of Missouri in 1962.
Curran's military service is as follows: commission on June 6, 1956; active duty from 1956 to 1958; and reserves until 1973.
Curran is affiliated with the Nevada Test Site as a staff officer for Operation Desert Roch VII and VIII. Curran was an Assistant Circuit Attorney for St. Louis, Missouri from 1963 to 1972. He was then employed as a Prosecuting Attorney for Jefferson County, Missouri from 1973 to 1975. After that he was an Associate Circuit Judge for the State of Missouri from 1975 to 1994. In 1994, Curran became an Adminstrative Law Judge for the United States of America.
