Morrissey, Michael

Michael Morrissey grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada and attended Bishop Gorman High School and the University of Nevada, Reno, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He returned to Las Vegas in 1978 and entered the insurance industry, later forming his own firm, Morrissey Insurance. He was a founding member of the Bank of Nevada and co-founder and president of the Irish Bar Company. Morrissey married Patricia Trent after returning to Las Vegas in the late 1970s. The Morrisseys have three children, Megan, Sean Patrick, and Erin, and their philanthropic efforts across the Las Vegas Valley include supporting Opportunity Village and the Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada.
