Candidate for School Board Trustee for Clark County School Board in 1970. Coordinator of Emergency Food in 1970. In Smith's role included: assist to distribute commodities to the county, establishing a Consumer Education Program, improving the effectiveness of the existing Food Commodities Program, determining the needs of lower income families to have them qualify for the food stamp program, and attempt to change the philosophy for the Clark County School District's School Food Programs.
