Mario Armond Zamparelli was an artist and designer known for his position as Howard Hughes' Chief Executive Designer. Born on June 4, 1921 in New York, Zamparelli expressed proficiency in art at at early age, earning art awards and prestige before graduating high school. In the early 1950s, he began designing RKO Radio Pictures film posters for Howard Hughes. Zamparelli would design logos and images for Hughes' corporations for eighteen years, including Trans World Airlines, Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Hughes' hotels and casinos, and Summa Corporation. Zamparelli also painted the only known portrait of Hughes. Zamparelli died on September 8, 2012 in Los Angeles, California.
