Fleck, Freddie (Friedrich A.)

Description

American assistant film director Freddie Fleck was born on June 4, 1890 in Manhattan, New York to Teresia Marie Bily and Carl Friedrich Fleck as Friedrich A. Fleck. He worked as a film assistant director and credited thirty times in film and television, starting in 1923 afrer a short time working for The Telegram and The World newspapers in New York, New York. He worked often with Howard Hughes and his various film production companies, beginning in 1930 with Hell's Angels and concluded his career working on Son of Sinbad (1955) and Jet Pilot (1957), which Hughes' produced from 1949 to 1950. He married Helen V. Fitzpatrick, and died on Nocember 9, 1961 in Los Angeles, California.
