Morgan, Red (Boyd Franklin)

Boyd Franklin "Boyd" Morgan was a stunt actor who also played character roles in over one hundred films and television shows between the 1930s and 1970s. Born on October 24, 1915 in Waurika, Oklahoma, Morgan played American Football for the Univesity of Southern Calfornia before graduating and playing for the Washington Redskins. He served in the Navy during World War II and later coached high school football before becoming an actor in 1948. Morgan primarily performed stunts and played stock characters in westerns, but also played minor roles in films such as True Grit (1969) and the Howard Hughes-produced The Conqueror (1956). He also appeared in television shows such as Wagon Train and Batman (1967).

Morgan died on Jaunary 08, 1988 in Tarzana, California.
