Lewis, Howard B., 1900-1957

Description

Howard B. Lewis was the general manager of Multicolor, Ltd., a film coloring company Howard Hughes purchased in 1930. Born on April 18, 1900 in Riverside California, Lewis graduated from Cornell University in 1924 and began working in Hughes Tool Company as an experimental engineer in 1925. In 1926, he became the manager of the Hughes Development Company, as well as the general manager and assistant to the president of Multicolor, Ltd. After Multicolor's closure, Lewis worked in engineering and executive positions including Thompson Manufacturing Company and the Lewis-Larson Company of Los Angeles.

Lewis died on November 11, 1957 in Lido Isle, Newport Beach, California.
