Meighan, Thomas, 1879-1936

Thomas Meighan was an actor known for his roles in silent films and early sound films between 1914 and 1934. Born on April 09, 1879 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Meighan initially joined the Henrietta Crossman's touring compnay, and later performed on Broadway in 1900. Meighan was casted in his first film role as Danny Donovan in Danny Donovan, the Gentleman Cracksman. He later played in two Howard Hughes-produced films: Captain james McQuigg in The Racket (1928) and Leslie Hatten in The Mating Call (1928).

Meighan died on July 07, 1936 in Long Island City, New York.
