Walter Mahofski, known professoionally as Walter Cartier, was a professional dancer who served as the company manager for the Bal du Moulin Rouge show at the Las Vegas Hilton in Las Vegas, Nevada. Cartier started out his dancing career as a student of Andrea and Maurice Sabatier who ran the Andrea School of Dance in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He began his professional career dancing in shows around the world and in shows around the world including Casino de Paris in Paris, France and Casino du Liban in Beirut, Lebanon. In Las Vegas, Cartier danced in Lido de Paris at the Stardust Hotel and Hallelujah Hollywood at the MGM Grand Hotel. He danced in stage shows, films, television, and music theatre before trainsition to company manager roles in the late 1970s. He was a director and choreographer for the Flamingo Hotel in 1985 and was the company manager and production coordinator for Bal Du Moulin Rouge at the Las Vegas Hilton from 1981 to 1986.

Cartier passed away on January 20th, 2017 in Las Vegas.
